Description
Map shows area around the eastern limits of the city of Hamilton. Title statement and surveyor's signature with dates on northwest segment of the map. This southwest segment shows the Great Western Railway, and numbered lots between Land Street and Empire Street. Land Street was named after Robert Land, one of the earliest settlers in the Hamilton area (Dictionary of Hamilton Biography, v. 1). Written along the left edge, "No 103 Drawer 4". Includes some handwritten notes which are not entirely legible.
