Series Number Id: [GSGS 2551a]. Strategical map showing Front Line before 1st July 1916. "1st Printing Coy. R.E. G.H.Q. (2255)" in red overprint. "Ordnance [Survey 1916]". Cropped sheet for field overprinting (left and right margins missing), therefore GSGS series statement lacking. Grey and blue outline map, showing rivers, international boundaries, and double and single railways. Map covers whole zone of Western Front (SE England, Holland, NW France and Belgian Coast, Switzerland and W Germany). Red overprint shows Front Line before Battle of the Somme, 1916. Red plate/stone registered with needles.
