Engraved panoramic drawing in sepia ink. "Drawn on the spot by Henry Acland, Esqr. Engraved by F.C. Lewis, engraver of drawings to the Queen Victoria." "Published 1st. Octr. 1839...." Direction of view (e.g. S.E., south etc.) indicated above the upper neat line, and physical features or locations are named below the lower neat line. Originally accompanied the book by Henry W. Ackland, The Plains of Troy: Illustrated by a panoramic drawing taken on the spot; and a map constructed after the latest survey (Oxford: James Wyatt and Son, 1839).
