Described in Winearls, Mapping Upper Canada 1780-1867, entry 166, p. 56: "Views: Indian hunting buffalo, two beaver, an otter, Indians encamped, 'FALLS OF NIAGARA'; twps shown in the Huron District north to Ashfield and Wawanosh and in the east to a line from Harvey to Palmerston; cos and districts shown; OOAMA copy has 'Indian Territory' named in Huron area; designated 'first state first issue' in P. J. Radford, Americana Catalogue, no 27 (Nov 1980); Tallis's maps were being produced from about 1847 on and J. & F. Tallis were in business together until Dec 1849...."
